Arts and Computers  Join us for a fun time in creating some great art projects while at the same time learning more about technology. If you have wanted to complete some great family projects or learn more about computers, join us for any of the following events. Each session will be the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Saturdays of the month from 2:00-3:30pm.

  • February – Family Calendar – A good way to keep up with birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and other important dates using family pictures.
  • March –Family Stories-Photo Album – Tell your family story with pictures included. Learn how to create digital and traditional formats for a family history keepsake.
  • April – Favorite Food – Create a cookbook or apron with your favorite recipes.
  • May – Personalized Gifts –– Give that special someone or yourself a personalized T-shirt or customized Tote Bag as the perfect gift.
  • June and July – Quilting the BroadWAY – Take traditional quilting to a new level by including pictures of family and friends on your quilt.

Time for the Cookbook  We’re now collecting recipes for The Broadway Cookbook and we’re still waiting to hear from you!  Help us create a wonderful recipe/story book jam-packed with recipes, stories and pictures of Broadway. Choose one or more of the following categories.  Send or give us recipes for dishes you usually bring, or are appropriate for:

  • Coffee Hour (cookies, muffins, breads)
  • Bible Study Snacks (appetizers, desserts, beverages)
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day (soups, chili, corn bread, desserts)
  • Pot Luck Dishes (salads, casseroles, side dishes, desserts)
  • Vegetarian and Vegan Dishes
  • Casseroles for the Homebound
  • Garden Recipes (using products from the garden)
  • Youth Lounge

Type if possible or neatly print in ink. One recipe per page. Send or give your recipes to Fran Markwardt or Dee Dorsey. Include: Category, Recipe Title, Your Name. If there is something special about your recipe -- for example, who gave it to you, it was your mother’s favorite, etc., include that too. Use abbreviations:  pt.  qt.  pkg.  env.  c.  tsp.  T.  oz.  lb.  gal.  doz.  sm.  med.  lg. Show number of servings.
