Vacation Bible School

Intergenerational VBS -- "Soaring with the Eagles" (Isaiah 40:31)
Saturday, July 16, 2011; 9:30 am to 3:30 pm
(light breakfast and lunch provided)
9:30-10:00 am: Welcome and worship
10:00-11:30 am: Adult — The Artist’s Way, Vision Boards, Creative writing
10:00-11:30 am: Children — Reading scripture involving the following animals (snake, dove, donkey, lion, sheep, dove and the butterfly “representing new life”). Children will learn where in the Bible there are references to these animals and learn their habits and the relationship to people. We’ll use arts and crafts, movement and song.
11:30 am-12:00 pm: Lunch
12:00-12:30 pm: Yoga and movement
12:30-2:30 pm: Intergenerational activities: storytelling, arts and crafts
2:30-3:00 pm: Closing worship and music
3:30 pm: Sending Forth
