Broadway's Media Team
Our Media Ministry has become a unique and important part of our worship experience. The people who volunteer to do this ministry, though often behind the scenes, put in a lot of time to prepare and think through the flow of worship. We salute and support your gifts and time dedicated to this ministry. Thank You.
Meet our Media Team:
Richard Holley
My name is Richard Holley. I program the media for Sunday Service and work with Pastors Lois and Vernice for any special media that they have in mind. When possible, I help record the services and train people on media usage. I plan to continue using my talents with computers and graphics for further services. I’ve been a member of Broadway UMC since July 2005.
Cullen Parr
My name is Cullen Parr. I graduated high school last month and have been spending my summer street-performing, biking along the lakefront, sleeping, and doing media for Sunday services at Broadway. This fall I will start classes at Occidental College in California. I am Rev. Parr’s son and arrived at BUMC with her a year ago. Doing media both trains my artistic eye (finding pleasing images/font styles) and gives me a chance to use the computer.
Latoya Thorn
My name is Latoya Thorn. I am a stay-at-home mom/computer lab assistant at Harold Washington College. My plans are to have a career in the media field; photography is my passion. I’ve been at Broadway for 6 years. What I enjoy most about doing media is looking for media elements such as pictures and videos that enhance the worship experience. I also enjoy taking the sermon or scripture and tying things into a theme as much as possible to help the message of the day.
